The Best Anime Themes of All Time

Alright, this is gonna be exactly what it sounds like. Submit what you think are the absolute best opening and ending themes from any anime ever made. Include the song name, designation (i.e. op 2 or ed 5), series name, a video, and a brief explanation of why it deserves to be counted on this list. Limit 3 each for openings and endings per anime. If a series gets renamed partway through (EX: Dragonball and DBZ, Naruto and N. Shippuuden), each name counts as a separate series. There is no limit to the amount of series you can pull from. You do not have to have seen the show. No other requirements. I will post mine later today, right now I just wanted to post the topic before I forgot about it again.

GaoGaiGar-GaoGaiGar op
This series is legendary, and commonly ranked among the best mecha anime ever. The theme is equally popular, with many variations used for the later installments of the series. Also, it's very catchy and hard to not at least like.

Cruel Angel's Thesis-Neon Genesis Evangelion op
Similar to the previous, with the addition that this song just grabs some part of my soul, it's very powerful to me.

Grip!-Inuyasha op 4
Aside from being the only opening [adult swim] ever showed (and only once) that I know of during their run of Inuyasha, this song pulls me in. It's hard to explain.

GO!-Naruto op 4
I think this one speaks for itself. It's one of the most popular Naruto ops.

No Boy No Cry-Naruto op 6
This song, aside from being awesome, reflects well on the events of the story during its run: violent and passionate. And it's good to have some variety in these things, hence metal-ish as opposed to straight rock or something else.

Yura Yura-Naruto op 9
Okay, so I'm a sucker for songs like this. Really, I'm a sucker for anything that has emotion in it, and this definitely does. Hence, it beat out ops 3 and 8.

distance-Naruto Shippuuden op 2
This one is just great. It tells a story, it's emotional, and it's catchy. All the Engrish is annoying, but it's still a good song.

D-Techno Life-Bleach op 2
I already said I'm a sucker for the drama, but this song also has rock, which makes it an instant win.

Ichirin no Hana-Bleach op 3
Hard rock meets the awesomeness of Bleach. 'Nuff said.

Sentimental Generation-School Rumble Ni Gakki op
This song is almost like a cheerful drama (I know that sounds like an oxymoron), and it helps if you see the lyrics. It's also catchy and popular.

Well, that's all the openings I can think of for now. Endings will come later, and there may be a few openings I forgot about.

Rolling Star-Bleach op 5
This is an awesome song by YUI which combines everything I like in my music: rock, emotion, good, catchy lyrics, and a good singer. Also, I like the animation in this one, it's...different. Kind of makes me think of the fourth opening, but done much better. I would say the fact that it's by YUI should explain it all, but not everybody is aware of her work, so...
