That reflects more on you than them, meaning it's not a very good reason to block access. I'm putting this on my list of reasons why you're a bad leader.

It's the fact that so many staff felt the necessity to do it on one site. That implies that you did something they did not like, which is your problem not theirs. I'm holding this opinion until I get more info.
